MEN'S BASKETBALL
The Falcons jumped back into the WIN column with a pair of victories last week, knocking off Oakwood College 87-72, and Auburn-Montgomery 90-85.Overall, the Falcons improved to 3-6, snapping a 4-game losing streak. Meanwhile, UM got the GSC schedule off to a good start with the win over AUM. Guard Xavier Malcom scored 20 and 23 points respectively in the games.  He hit 13-of-27 fieldgoals, including 10-of-16 from 3-point range. He was also a perfect 7-for-7 from the freethrow line. Fellow backcourt mates Braxton Bertolette and Travarus "Bob" Carroll also had solid performances in the win over AUM, coming off the bench. Bertolette matched Malcom's 23 points, while Carroll tallied 13 in his first game of the season.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
The Falcons opened the Gulf South Conference schedule with a win over Auburn-Montgomery in their only game of the week. The ladies were scheduled for a rematch with then 4th-ranked North Georgia last Wednesday, but the game was canceled due to COVID concerns with the Nighthawks. UM evened it's record at 4-4 and 1-0 in the GSCÂ after snapping a three game losing skid. Forward Shyan Flack paced the Falcons with 20 points and 13 rebounds, while guard Kiya Sain also had a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds.
