AMERICUS, Ga. - Montevallo closed out their third and final round of the Hurricane Invitational jumping up in the standings one spot giving them a 7th place finish in a 16 team field in their first event of the spring.

Paul Murphy led the way for the Falcons in the event with fantastic scores of (-4) 68, (-1) 71, and (E) 72 for a 2nd place finish. The Wexford, Ireland native notched his 3rd top five finish of the season and his 2nd tournament finishing in 3rd place or better.

Freshman Greg Jones was second on the week for the Falcons. The Mobile, Alabama product carded rounds of (+2) 74, (+2) 74, and (+3) 75 for a three round total of +7 for a T31st place finish.

Brady Carman finished 3rd in the lineup at Georgia Southwestern for Montevallo. The senior carded rounds of (+3) 75, (+3) 75, and +(+4) 76 for a T42 place finish at +10 for the event.

Landon Wockenfuss came in a tie for 45th place in the first event of the semester for Montevallo. The freshman carded rounds of (+6) 78, (+3) 75, and (+2) 74.Â

Noah Dennis was 5th on the leaderboard for the Falcons in Albany, Georgia. Dennis, a Trussville, Alabama native carded rounds of (+7) 79. (+6) 78, and (+3) 75 that gave him a finish of 68th place.
