MONTEVALLO, Ala. - The University of Montevallo womens soccer team took an 0-1 loss against top GSC opponent Lee, in a rematch of last years conference championship. 

The Flames put a goal in the net in the first half with about 25:00 left to go in the half.  The Falcons battled and worked hard for the rest of the game to score a goal but struggled to find the net.  The Falcons put up 14 shots with five on goal in an effort to overtake Lee's lead but the Flames managed to barely escape the Falcons winning 1-0.

Montevallo was led by Romee Contreras who had three shots with an on goal shot along with Tori Ochoa (3 shots), Hannah Waki (2 shots, 1 on goal), Allye Darnell (2 shots, 1 on goal), and Kira Bochard (1 shot, 1 on goal) who all made valuable efforts to notch the score.

UP NEXT:  The Falcons will host Union in the opening round of the GSC Spring Championship Series Tournament on Wednesday, March 17th with kick off set for 3:00 PM in Montevallo.
