PENSACOLA, Fla. - The Montevallo softball team suffered a pair of losses (6-4,12-5) against UWF, Friday in Pensacola.
The Falcons watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in the 6-4 game one loss to the Argonauts. The Falcons were led at the plate by
Mariel Bertossi who had two hits in three at bats.
Mychael McMillan was in the circle for UM in the first game. The RHP allowed six hits, six runs, and three strike outs over six innings of service.
UM suffered a tough loss 12-5, in game two of Friday's double header after claiming the lead in the second inning. UWF responded with six total runs in the third inning to retake the advantage. The Falcons struggled to bounce back from the Argo's offensive spark ending the game with a loss. Montevallo was led by
Hannah Carey who bombed two home runs into the parking lot along with
Lauren Higginbotham who went yard for the Falcons in the second inning.Â
Kaylee Hawkins was in the circle for the Falcons allowing eight hits and eight runs, with two strikeouts and no walks over two and two thirds innings.
The Falcons end the weekend series with UWF with a single game on Saturday, April 10th starting at 4:00 PM.Â
