Falcons fall 8-3 to UWF in Saturday rubber match

PENSACOLA, Ala. - The Montevallo softball ended their weekend series with UWF in a 8-3 loss, Saturday in Pensacola.  With the win the Argonauts advance to 24-10 with a 18-6 GSC record and the Falcons drop to 11-19 with a 6-14 conference record.

The Falcons fell behind in the early innings of the rubber match, making it tough for the squad to bounce back.  Montevallo saw the ball well, racking up six hits in the game with Kinley Adams and Brooke Ingram collecting multiple hits for the Falcons.  Adams led UM going three for four at the plate.

Mychael McMillan was in the circle for the Falcons.  The Centreville, Alabama native surrendered eight runs on 12 hits with six strike outs over six innings.

UP NEXT: The Falcons return to Orr Park for a match up against Delta State starting on Friday, April 16th at 5:00 PM.
