MONTEVALLO, Ala. - The University of Montevallo Department of Athletics has named softball athlete Hannah Carey and Asa Awbrey from the baseball team as its Players of the Week for their individual performances last week.

Hannah Carey was named UM Player of the Week after she went 4-for-8 at the plate while also going yard for two home runs.  The Hunstville native also added three runs scored and fielded 1.000 at shortstop.  

Asa Awbrey was named Montevallo Player of the Week for his play during game one of the AUM double header.  The Carrollton, Georgia native led the Falcons at the plate in game one, going 4-for-5 with three RBIs.
