MILLEDGEVILLE, GA - The Montevallo volleyball team picked up their sixth win of the season, beating Georgia College 3-1 in the Bobcat Classic. The Falcons knocked off the host Bobcats 25-22, 25-19, 25-27, 25-16 to improve to 6-4 on the season and snapping a two-game skid.

Senior hitter Evelina Teran had 22 kills, 12 digs and three blocks to lead the Falcons. Freshman setter Colton Thompson had a outstanding match racking up 36 assists and 11 kills, while sophomore middle blocker Allie Dishman added 15 kills and seven blocks. Sophomore Casey Hendrixson steadied the defense with 25 digs.

The Falcons controlled the first two tightly contested sets, leading most ot the way.enroute to back-to-back wins. The third set was a seesaw battle that saw the Bobcats emerge on top by a slim margin. the Falcons actually had a chance to finish a sweep of the match after a kill by Teran gave them a 24-23 lead, But, the Bobcats scored three of the next four points to escape with the win. UM recaptured the momentum in the final set, jumping out to a big lead early and coasting to the victory.

Next up: The Falcons close out the tournament on Friday with matches against USC-Aiken (1 p.m.) and Augusta University (5 p.m.).
