MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Montevallo women's soccer team fell 2-0 to Christian Brothers on the road on Friday. With the loss, the Falcons slipped to 2-4 and 0-3 in the GSC, while CBU improved to 4-3 and 2-1 in the conference.
Defense was strict between both squads with no goal scored until the 58
th minute of the game when CBU's Cheyenne Smith connected on a goal to take the lead. Smith was involved in an additional score for the Buccaneers after she played a ball for Bailey Tadlock to find the net for the second goal.
Montevallo had its chances to score, but could not put together a goal. CBU out-shot the Falcons 9-8 in the contest. Montevallo led the game with four corner kick opportunities compared to Christian Brother's three.
UP NEXT: The Falcons will stay in Tennessee to face the Union University Bulldogs tomorrow in Jackson . Kickoff is set for 1:00 pm on Sunday.
