JACKSON, TENN. - Kacey Alejandre scored the game's only goal and the defense did the rest as the Montevallo women's soccer team etched a hard-earned 1-0 win on the road against Union University on Sunday, The Falcons improved to 3-4 overall and 1-3 in the Gulf South Conference, while Union fell to 1-5 and 1-3.

Alejandre's goal came in the 14th minute off of an assist by Miranda Fragoso. UM out-shot Union 22-10 in the game .Ten of the Falcons shots were on target, while the Lady Bulldogs only managed five, which were all saved by UM goalkeeper, Bella Gaudette.

Next Up: The Falcons return home on Wednesday for a non-conference match against Francis Marion University. Game time is scheduled for 3 p.m. at Varsity Field.
