PENSACOLA, Fla. - The University of Montevallo volleyball team fell 3-0 on the road to No. 14 West Florida, Saturday.
Montevallo recorded its lowest hit percentage of the season .096, in just the second 3-0 loss on the year.
Montevallo opened the match on top of the Argos, briefly, but were unable to hold a lead and dropped the first set, 25-18. With momentum against them, the Falcons dropped the second set, 25-10 as West Florida hit a staggering .611. The Falcons were unable to keep up with the hot-hitting Argos, dropping the final set 25-15.
West Florida hit .442 in the match, the highest hit-percentage Montevallo has allowed against any team this season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Set 1
- The Falcons scored the first three points of the contest, capped with a kill from Sav Roys.
- With Montevallo leading 4-1, the Argos took their first lead of the match, 6-5, following a 5-1 run.
- After trading the next several points, West Florida pulled ahead, 17-12, mid-way through.
- A West Florida attack-error cut the deficit to four, 22-18, but the Falcons were unable to get any closer, dropping the first set, 25-18.
Set 2
- A kill from Allie Dishman notched the opening point for the Falcons before the Argos took a 4-1 leading following four-straight points.
- An attack error for the Falcons pushed UWF's lead to six, 11-5.
- Montevallo was unable to cut into the lead, falling 25-10 in the second set.
Set 3
- Montevallo fell behind 6-3 to start before a bad set from UWF cut the lead to one, 8-7.
- An 8-3 run for West Florida put the Falcons behind 16-10.
- Montevallo was unable to cut into the lead down-the-stretch, falling 25-15.
