MONTEVALLO, Ala. – Throughout the month of Sept., the University of Montevallo Athletic Department raised more than $81,000 through the Falcon Victory Campaign, the first comprehensive fundraising campaign of its kind in athletics' history.
 
Over a three-week span from Sept. 7 to Sept. 28, athletics raised $81,072 through a total of 933 donors in both online and offline formats.
 
Funds raised in the campaign are focused on helping cover teams' needs for the upcoming season, including trip expenses and facility improvements.
 
Softball received the most donors during the campaign, 236, and raised the most money, $13,728.
 
"We can't say thank you enough to our friends, alumni, parents, faculty, and staff who supported us financially during this campaign," said Director of Athletics Mark Richard. "We can't operate without the generous support and we are very thankful for that. We exceeded our goal by more than 300 percent.  This was the most successful fundraising campaign we have had in the department's history."
