VALDOSTA, Ga. – The University of Montevallo Volleyball team dropped a road contest, 3-1, at Valdosta State, Saturday, for just the third conference loss of the year.
Coming off a 3-1 win at West Georgia, the Falcons dropped just its third conference game of the year against the Blazers. Montevallo jumped ahead early on in the match, winning the first set 25-16. Valdosta State responded with three straight set-wins, 25-20, 25-14, and 25-19, to take the match from the Falcons in come-from-behind fashion.

GAME NOTES
- Montevallo posted its lowest hit percentage of the year, .080, in the loss. Valdosta State narrowly edged the Falcons with a .087 hit clip.
- Macy Martin led the Falcons with 15 kills in the match. Only two Falcons recorded double-digit kills as Allie Dishman added 11.
- Valdosta State held a large advantage in aces, 9-1, and out-paced UM in blocks, 11-8.
- Freshman Brooklyn Hudson added six kills and recorded a team-high .313 hit percentage.
- Colton Thompson led the sqaud with a team-high 21 assists and added eight digs.
