CARROLTON, Ga. – The Montevallo men's golf team finished tied for eighth-place at the Matt Dyas Invitational hosted by West Georgia at Oak Mountain Championship Golf Course.
Sophomore
Eric Boutwell shot the low score of the tournament for the Falcons with a seven-over 223 for a T-8th finish while
Seth Rogers finished T-33rd after shooting a 17-over 233.
Boutwell shot the low round of the week for UM with a minus-two 70 in round two when his teammate Rogers turned in a one-under 71 in the second round.
As a team, the Falcons found themselves in seventh after round one with a 25-over 313 before shooting the team's lowest round of the tournament with a plus-five 293 in round two to move up to sixth. Montevallo had a tough day on the course in round three after posting a final round score of 314 for the finish the tournament in a tie for eighth.
