MONTEVALLO, Ala. – Montevallo women's basketball fell to Nova Southeastern, 68-49, in the home opener for the Falcons on Friday, Nov. 11.
Montevallo took the first quarter, 9-8, with four points from
Jordan Parker. After a slow start from both sides, Nova Southeastern took control of the game with a 14-point run in the second quarter from Nova Southeastern gave the Sharks a 36-22 at the halftime break. NSU opened the second half on a 10-3 run that broke open the game to put the Falcons behind, 45-25. The Sharks held a near 20-point lead for the final quarter to take the game, 68-49.
A pair of 10-point outings from
Marisa Snodgrass and
Savannah Cook lead the Falcons scoring. Snodgrass added four boards and six takeaways to her night, while
Jordan Parker led the team with five rebounds.

GAME NOTES
- The Falcons were out-rebounded 36-28 in the contest but edged the Sharks with a six second chance points to NSU's three.
- Nova Southeastern held a large advantage in points in the paint with a 30-16 mark.
- Both benches came up big in the contest with 31 points coming off Nova's bench, while the Falcon's bench put up 26 points.
- The Sharks sharp shooting was the difference in the contest with a 52.2 percent shooting mark with the Falcons shooting 35.2 percent from the floor.
- Montevallo won the turnover battle with a 16-19 advantage over Nova Southeastern.
