ROME, Ga. – The Montevallo women's basketball team ran away from Shorter in a 78-46 win on the road, Friday night.
The Falcons jumped out to an eight-point lead in the first five minutes of the game with
Marisa Snodgrass,
Miriam Oldacre,
Isabel Grimes, and
McCarley Northway each scoring four points in the first quarter. The second quarter saw a flurry of buckets coming from the Falcons with a 26-17 advantage in the quarter. Snodgrass exploded with seven points to lead Montevallo in scoring with 11 points in the first half. The Falcons' defense stepped up in the third quarter allowing just seven points on 2-for-9 shooting. A.K. Eastman lead Montevallo's offense with five points on 2-for-3 shooting in the quarter. The Falcons' bench saw a ton of action in the fourth quarter with senior guard
Sara Strohmeyer leading the charge with six points on 2-of-4 shooting in the final stanza.
Snodgrass was the Falcons' leading scorer in the contest with 14 points on 3-for-4 shooting from three-point range and a 5-of-6 mark from the charity stripe. Eastman and Oldacre each added 10 points while
Michaella Edwards was the Falcons' leading rebounder with six boards.

st | Montevallo started the game hot with a 7-for-14 shooting clip in the first quarter to take a 19-11 lead.

nd | The Falcons offense exploded in the second quarter with 26 total points on 10-of-12 shooting from the free throw line.
