MONTEVALLO - The Montevallo men's lacrosse team scored early and often as it succeeded in multiple facets of the game, to take the 21-8 win against the Lincoln Memorial University Railsplitters.  With the win the Falcons advance to 2-0 on the season, while LMU slips to 0-1 overall. 

The Falcons jumped out to a 2-0 lead within the first five minutes of the initial face-off, but the Railsplitters eventually responded with their own goal to keep the edge close.  Montevallo then outscored LMU 4-2, to end the first quarter with a 6-3 advantage.  The Falcons exploded in the second quarter, outscoring Lincoln Memorial 7-1 to lead 13-4 at halftime.  

Montevallo kept the same rhythm of the second quarter, netting six goals and only allowing one in the third.  The Falcons defense played strong to keep the margin for UM.  Montevallo notched two more goals to seal the victory over the Railsplitters.
