SAINT LEO, Fla. - The Montevallo men's lacrosse team suffered a 19-11 loss on the road Friday evening in Florida. With the loss the Falcons slip to 2-1 on the season while the Lions advance to 1-1.
The Falcons were led offensively by
Trevayne Hunter who scored four goals with a ground ball and a caused turnover.
Montevallo jumped out for a 1-0 lead in the first 1:12 of the game but Saint Leo answered with a 5-1 scoring run to end the period ahead 5-2. The Falcons cut the lead as close as two, but the Lions managed to maintain a four point edge by halftime.
SLU opened the second half with six unanswered goals in the third quarter, to end the period ahead 16-8 over UM. Montevallo hit the first three goals of the fourth quarter but Saint Leo answered with three of their own goals to seal the eight point victory.
