MONTEVALLO - The Montevallo baseball team dominated in the series finale against the University of MIssouri St. Louis Tritons, taking a 21-0 win Sunday afternoon at Bob Reisner Stadium. With the win the Falcons progress to 7-0 for the year while the Tritons slip to an 0-4 start for the season.
Khalid Collymore played a major role in the victory, going 2-for-3 with two homeruns and five RBI's.
Joshua Alpough was on the mound to earn the win for the Falcons, giving up no unearned runs and no hits with seven strikeouts.
The Falcons were locked in from their first at bat against the Tritons.
Khalid Collymore notched a home-run hitting lead off for the Falcons in the bottom of the first. Montevallo never looked back from that point scoring multiple unanswered runs in a row.
Missouri-St. Louis fought but could not overcome the overwhelming scoring display of the Falcons.
UP NEXT: The Falcons will travel south to Mobile, Alabama to face Spring Hill. First pitch is set for Wednesday, February 16th at 3:00 pm at Spring Hill.
