MONTGOMERY, Ala.-The Montevallo women's basketball team finished the regular season strong with a 70-59 win over in-state rival AUM, Saturday afternoon in Montgomery. With the win the Falcons conclude the season with a 13-15 overall record and 9-11 in the Gulf South Conference.

Kiya Sain led UM with 18 points and six rebounds, while backcourt mate
Marisa Snodgrass tallied 10 points.
AUM jumped on board first in the first quarter but the Falcons quickly responded to earn the lead midway through the period. The Falcons held off the Warhawks 15-11 by the end of the first quarter. Montevallo began to put it together in the second quarter boosting their lead to a comfortable 38-26 by halftime.
The Falcons kept their foot on the gas in the third quarter, increasing the margin as high as 21 points before the under five-minute media break. Montevallo solidified a 59-32 edge by the end of the third.
The Warhawks began to chip away at the Montevallo lead, opening up the fourth quarter with an 11-0 run to cut the edge 59-41 before
McCarley Northway broke the silence with a layup. The Warhawks continued to fight but the Falcons held off the come back effort to seal the 11 point win.
