Box Score MONTEVALLO - The Montevallo baseball added another W to the win column after succeeding past CBU 12-7 Saturday afternoon at Bob Reisner Stadium.  With the win the Falcons advance to 15-4 overall and 2-4 in the Gulf South Conference. 

The Falcons jumped ahead 2-0 after Sam Kuchinski hit a home run with one on base in the first inning.   Montevallo built on its lead during their next at bat after Asa Awbrey tripled to center field with Zen Hiatt and Matt Simon on base, setting off a 4-0 lead.

The Buccaneers found a run in the fourth inning, but the Falcons answered with two additional runs making the score 6-1.  CBU bounced back in the top of the sixth as they put up six runs in the inning to come within one run of UM's eight total.   The Falcons responded with three runs of their own to rebuild the lead 11-7 by the end of the sixth.  

A Reed Latimer double sealed the deal for the Falcons after it allowed a run in the eighth inning.  The Falcons held off the Buccaneers for the rest of the game to complete the 12-7 victory.
