MONTEVALLO, Ala. --- The Montevallo softball team dug a huge hole, staged a spirited rally, but came up a run short in a 8-7 loss to Union University on Sunday afternoon at Orr Park. The loss snapped a seven game winning streak for the Falcons, who fell to 14-11 and 6-4 in the Gulf South Conference. Union improved to 10-16 and 4-8.
Next Up: The Falcons will head to Rome, Ga. to take on Shorter University on Saturday and Sunday, March 26 and 27.
