Game Recap: Men's Lacrosse |

Men's lacrosse downs CSU-P 16-12 in Utah

SALT LAKE CITY, UT. - The Montevallo men's lacrosse team took a 16-12 victory over Colorado State Pueblo, Friday night on the road.  With the win, Jason Lange's unit advances to 5-5 overall this season.

Next Up: The Falcons will travel to Greenwood, South Carolina to face Lander University, with the first face-off set for Saturday, April 2nd at 7:00 PM MST.


Falcon Leaders
Scott Friant played a major role in the Falcon's success, contributing six points off of four goals, two assists and a ground ball.  Montevallo also received scoring contributions from Connor Frederick (3), Gerry York (3), Trevayne Hunter (3), Jackson Klewchuck (2), and Jackson Neufeld (1).

Key Plays
1st Quarter

The Falcons put together three unanswered goals with 7:46 left in the quarter for an early 3-0 advantage.  The Thunderwolves managed to put together teo goals before the end of the period but the Falcons held their lead 5-2 going into the second quarter.

2nd Quarter
CSU-P began to get a groove in the second quarter, outscoring UM 3-2 in the period but the lead was held 7-5 by the Falcons at halftime.

3rd Quarter
The Falcons regrouped in the third quarter, setting off a six goal quarter and only allowing two goals from the Thunderwolves.

4th Quarter 
The Thunderwolves put together five goals in the fourth but the Falcons held on for the road game victory with three goals to thwart CSU-P's comeback efforts.
