GREENWOOD, S.C. - The Montevallo men's lacrosse team were defeated 17-11 by PBC foe Lander University, Saturday afternoon in South Carolina. The loss brings the Falcons overall record to 5-6 and a 0-1 Peach Belt Conference record.
UP NEXT: Montevallo is set to face UAH, on Saturday April 9th starting at 1:00 PM at the Montevallo Lacrosse Stadium.
The Falcons only needed 55 seconds before
Chaiton Williams put in UM's first goal. Lander found its offense and outscored the Falcons 4-2 to take a 4-3 lead by the end of one quarter.
Lander kept the strong offensive effort against the Falcons in the second, puting together five goals compared to one Montevallo goal. The Falcons fell behind 9-4 by halftime.
Montevallo found four goals in the third quarter but Lander outscored UM with five goals, holding their lead 14-8.
The Falcons created some scoring opportunities in the fourth quarter but could not overcome Lander for a win.
