VALDOSTA, Ga. - During a double header match up at Valdosta State, the Montevallo baseball team took home a 10-1 win in game one but fell 1-0 in game two. The Falcons are now 14-4 with a 1-4 conference record this season.
In game one the Falcons got the scoring started off of the bat of
Zen Hiatt who hit a double to bring home
Riley Cain in the second inning.
Matt Simon followed the direction of Hiatt, hitting a single to bring home the second run for a 2-0 lead.
Sam Kuchinski went yard in the third inning, bringing home two additional runs.
Reed Latimer batted in two runs after he hit a home run with in the sixth with
Matt Simon on base to jump ahead 6-0.
The Blazers found a run in the seventh inning, but the Falcons secured the game one victory by bringing home four extra runs.
In game two neither team found a run until the fourth inning after the Blazers brought one home. The bats were silent for the rest of the day resulting in the 1-0 loss.
