CARROLLTON, Ga. – The University of Montevallo volleyball team earned its fourth and fifth consecutive wins with a sweep of Georgia College and a 3-2 victory over Augusta, Saturday.
To open the final day of the tournament, the Falcons earned their fifth sweep of the year by defeating the Bobcats. Montevallo hit .215 in the win.
In the second and final match of the day the Falcons overcame a 1-0 deficit to Augusta to win 3-2. In the fifth set Montevallo was dominant and jumped out to a 7-0 lead, in route to a 15-7 win.
The Falcons now move to 7-4 on the season and are 6-1 in their last seven contests.
Macy Martin led Montevallo with 25 kills on the day while
Casey Hendrixson totaled 41 digs.

Set 1
- Montevallo fell behind to start the set, 11-4.
- Down 15-8, the Falcons used a 6-0 run to cut the deficit to one, 15-14.

Set 1
- Montevallo battled back-and-forth in the opening set but dropped it, 25-23, on a final attack error.
Set 2
- Montevallo jumped out to a 9-5 lead to start the second set.
- The Falcons led 23-22 when Augusta committed a pair of errors, handing Montevallo a 25-22 win in the second set.
Set 3
- After getting behind 11-12 in the third set, the Falcons used a 4-0 run to take a 15-11 lead.
- The Falcons controlled the set the rest of the way and closed on a 6-0 run to win, 25-17.
Set 4
- Montevallo fell behind 12-8 in the fourth set.
- Augusta jumped ahead 22-14 and the Falcons were unable to overcome the deficit, falling 25-18.
Set 5
- After Augusta forced the tie-breaking fifth set, the Falcons exploded for a 7-0 run to begin the set.
- The opening run included four Falcon kills and a Dishman service-ace.
- Dishman pushed the Falcons to a seven-point lead, 13-6, with a kill.
