MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The Montevallo women's basketball team fell to Lee, 78-47, on Saturday, Jan. 21.
The Falcons opened the game on a bit of a shooting slump, going just 4-for-18 from the field, in the first quarter with a quartet of Falcons scoring. A dismal shooting performance in the second quarter left Montevallo trailing 40-19 at the half. The Lady Flames came out of the half on fire with a 56.3 percent shooting clip in the third quarter. Lee held a 64-31 lead heading into the fourth quarter. The fourth quarter was much of the same with Lee taking the game, 78-47.
Montevallo's offense was led by
Marisa Snodgrass with nine points on a perfect 5-for-5 from the free throw line.

HOW IT HAPPENED
1st | Lee came out of the gate firing with a 53.8 percent mark from the field while the Falcons shot just 22.2 percent.
2nd | The Falcons couldn't buy a bucket in the second quarter, shooting just 1-for-12 from the field, with the Lady Flames shooting a staggering 60 percent.
3rd | Lee again shot better than 50 percent from the field with a 9-for-16 mark while the Falcons continued to struggled with a 4-for-11 shooting clip.
4th | Montevallo ended the game with a 35.7 percent shooting mark while Lee shot 38.5 percent from the floor.
GAME NOTES
- Montevallo won the turnover battle, 18-21.
- Lee dominated the paint with 40 points to Montevallo's 22.
