MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The University of Montevallo men's and women's swimming teams are ready to take on Berry College and Emmanuel University on Saturday, Oct. 21 at 10:00 a.m. in Mount Berry, Ga.
The men and women are coming off wins against Millsaps College on Saturday, Oct. 14. The Montevallo men won by a score of 183-55 and women 179-64.
Montevallo Men
The men are looking to repeat their impressive victory with a win on the road against Emmanuel and Berry.
Juan Celis and
Connor Daigle highlighted the first meet of the season by breaking pool records.
Celis broke the 100 Free with a time of 46.84 and Daigle broke the 200 IM for the Falcons with a record-breaking time of 1:58.14.
The relay team of
Will Mahone,
Juan Celis,
Connor Daigle and Jane Barczyk were dominant in the 200-yard medley relay and are looking to duplicate their time of 1:35.79.
Montevallo Women
Freshman
Petra Cajkas is coming off a meet where she broke the Montevallo pool record in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 59.01.
The women will be looking to sweep the 100-yard freestyle just as they did against Millsaps where
Danielle Davis,
Madison Burnum and
Cypris Wilkinson swam times of 57.87, 58.54 and 1:00.28.
