CLINTON, Miss. –  The University of Montevallo men's basketball team fell to Mississippi College, 100-96, in Clinton, Mississippi, Friday.

In a game that featured 13 ties and 10 lead changes, the Falcons fought to the end but fell just short.

After an even first half, 45-45, the Falcons found life in the second and used an 11-0 run to jump out to a seven-point lead, 70-63, following a three from Tyson Sexton. A three-pointer from Jaylen Curry kept UM's foot on the gas and pushed the lead to eight, 81-73 with 7:42 to play. An ensuing 8-0 run by the home side evened the score, 81-81, over the next 1:14.

Down the stretch, UM battled with the Choctaws but continued to play from behind. With 2:10 to go, the Falcons trailed MC 96-90 before a jumper from Jack Henderson and back-to-back layups from Cam Glover tied the score 96-96 with 33 seconds to play.

UM was unable to find the bottom of the net the rest of the way, despite shooting 50 percent from the floor for the second time this season.
