DADE CITY, Fla. – The Montevallo men's golf team finished the 2023 Saint Leo Invitational tied for seventh at two-over par.
In the opening tournament of the spring season, the Falcons posted a two-over score of 866 in the three-round event to tie for seventh with Palm Beach Atlantic and Tampa.
The Falcons shot a three-over total of 291 on day one, even par 288 in round two and a one under 287 in the final round to finish just two strokes over par.
Albin Faelt led the Falcons as he shot a one-under three-round total of 215. He posted scores of 72 in the first and second rounds and a one-under 71 in the final round to finish tied for seventeenth.
Eric Boutwell finished just behind Faelt with a total of 217 for a score of one-over. He shot 74, 71 and 72 to finish tied for twenty-fifth.
Landon Wockenfuss joined Boutwell with a 217-total. The junior shot a team-low of two-under 70 in the second round.
Cooper Markham rounded out the scoring for UM and finished tied-31
st with a total of three-over 219.

TOURNAMENT NOTES
- Montevallo was the second-highest finishing GSC school in the tournament, behind the winner, Lee, but ahead of Valdosta State (12th).
- Wockenfuss' two-under 70 in row two was the lowest round for the Falcons.
