MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Montevallo softball team lost the final game of its series with Auburn Montgomery, 11-3, on Sunday afternoon.
The Warhawks jumped out to an early lead with an RBI single in the bottom of the first after Montevallo failed to reach in its first at-bat.
The Falcons answered with a bases-loaded walk that scored the tying run in the top of the second. With the bases still loaded,
Shelby Sloan singled up the middle for a pair of runs the gave UM a 3-1 advantage.
Montevallo's lead held after a double from AUM scored a runner in the third, but
Taylor Lloyd was able to get the next batter on a pop up to end the inning and limit the damage.
A pair of empty at-bats from Montevallo lead to the bottom of the fifth where AUM plated nine runs to end the game early with an 11-3 final after five.

- Montevallo scored its three runs on just one hit with two RBI and three walks while AUM plated 11 runs on 14 hits with 11 RBI.
- Shelby Sloan was the lone Falcon to record a hit with a two RBI single in the top of the second.
- The Falcons played a clean game with no errors while the Warhawks picked up an error on the day.
