MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The Montevallo women's tennis team defeated Shorter in dominant fashion, 7-0, on Thursday. 
 
Montevallo opened the day with a clean sweep of the doubles matches headlined by a 6-0 win from Eva Dirr and Erika Freire. Emily Hafner and Leiselotte Hartlöhner added a 6-2 win to clinch the point before Mireia Turro and Cyba Ozzor rounded out the doubles matches with a 6-3 victory. 
 
Ozzor continued her performance with a shutout 6-0, 6-0 win No. 2 singles. Turro took the top singles match, 6-1, 6-1, while Dirr finished her afternoon with a 6-2, 6-2 win in the third singles slot. London Breedlove blanked Shorter in the first set to take a 6-0, 6-1 win before Greta Vagnini finished No. 5 singles with the same score. Erika Freire completed the Falcons shutout victory with a 6-0, 6-2 win in the final singles match of the day.
