Box Score MARS HILL, N.C. – The Montevallo women's tennis team blanked Mars Hill, 7-0, on Sunday afternoon.
To start the match, Montevallo won all three doubles matches took take the first point of the day.
Emily Hafner and Leiselotte Hartlöhner shutout their opponents for a 6-0 win before
Mireia Turro and
Cyba Ozzor wrapped up the top singles match with a 6-2 win. Freshman duo
Erika Freire and
Greta Vagnini rounded out the doubles matches with a 6-4 victory in No. 3 singles.
Freire and Vagnini breezed through their singles matches with scores of 6-0, 6-0 and 6-0, 6-1, resptively.
London Breedlove and Hartlöhner each won in straight sets with scores of 6-1, 6-0 and 6-3, 6-3, respectively. In the top singles match, Ozzor battled for three sets after falling 7-5 in the first to take the next two 7-5, and 10-8.
