TUCSON, Ariz. – In the first regular season collegiate Baseball Newspaper NCAA Division II Top-30 rankings, the University of Montevallo Baseball team is ranked No. 10.
 
In the preseason CBN top-40, the Falcons ranked No. 36 and move up 26 spots to No. 10 after opening the season 15-2.
 
On Monday the Falcons remained ranked No. 2 in the NCBWA South Region poll and are also ranked No. 8 in both the Perfect Game and NCBWA Top-25. The updated rankings for both national polls will be released on Wednesday, Mar. 8.
 
Montevallo is the highest-ranked Gulf South Conference squad in the ranking and sits ahead of No. 20 Valdosta State and No. 29 West Georgia.
 
The season continues on Wednesday, Mar. 8, as the Falcons take on the No. 3 ranked Columbus State Cougars, by CBN. CSU is ranked No. 6 in the latest NCBWA rankings.
