MOBILE, Ala. – Montevallo Men's golf finished fourth at the Gulf South Conference Championships, Tuesday, in Mobile, Alabama.
Eric Boutwell posted a podium finish in the tournament as he placed tied-second at five-under, to lead the way for UM. Boutwell entered the final round as the tournament leader at six-under but shot a one-over 73 in the final round.
The next highest finisher for the Falcons was
Landon Wockenfuss at two-over. He was a major mover in the final round as he shot a five-under 67 to move up 12 spots to tied-16
th.
Valentino Fantozzi was the third Falcons to finish in the top-20 as he shot a three-round total of five-over to tie-19
th.
Hugo Panos rounded out the Falcons' four scorers as he finished tied-32
nd at 11-over.
Montevallo entered the day in fourth place and shot a combined two-under to hold the spot. Panos (71) and Wockenfuss (67) each carded rounds under par, Tuesday.
