PENSACOLA, Fla. – The University of Montevallo men's Golf team finished in a tie for 12
th at the 2023 Argonaut Invitational, Tuesday, after the final round was canceled due to dense fog.
Montevallo played round one on Monday and posted a 19-over 307 total. The Falcons bounced back in round two on Tuesday and fired a 6-over 294 to move up one spot in the final standings. The final round, scheduled for Tuesday, was canceled due to dense fog rolling in.
Montevallo's 25-over score in the tournament tied with fellow Gulf South Conference foe, Christian Brothers, for 12
th.
Eric Boutwell led Montevallo with a tied-26th finish in a 93-person field as he posted a score of three-over through two rounds. Boutwell shot an even par 72 in round one and a three-over 75 on day two.
Landon Wockenfuss posted the other top-50 finish for the Falcons as he placed tied-46
th at seven-over.
The lowest individual round came from
Hugo Panos as he was the only to card an under-par round with a 71 on day two.

TOURNAMENT NOTES
- Montevallo finished tied-12th in a field of 17.
- There were eight GSC schools competing in the event. UM tied with Christian Brothers and finished higher than Valdosta State, West Georgia and Delta State.
