TUSCON, Ariz. – In the final Collegiate Baseball Newspaper poll of the regular season, the Falcons are ranked No. 13.

The Falcons drop five spots in this week's poll after closing the regular season campaign with a 2-2 week. Montevallo dropped a midweek matchup to Columbus State and took the series over West Georgia 2-1.

At 37-12 overall, Montevallo has been ranked in the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper rankings all season long. The Falcons debuted at No. 36 in the Top-40 preseason poll and moved to No.10 in the first poll of the regular season on Mar. 6. Since then, the Falcons climbed as high as No. 4,  a ranking they earned for two consecutive weeks. Since moving up from the preseason rankings, the Falcons remained in the top-13 all season long and spent seven weeks in the top-10.
 
Up next, the Falcons prepare for the 2023 Gulf South Conference tournament as the No. 2 seed and are seeking its first tournament title.

The Falcons will open postseason play against No. 7-seeded Lee on Friday, May 5, at 1 p.m.
