MONTEVALLO, AL. – The University of Montevallo men's golf team is in second place after round one of the Full Moon Invitational, Monday.
The Falcons A team, consisting of
Eric Boutwell,
Landon Wockenfuss,
Harrison Hughston,
Valentino Fantozzi, shot an even-par round on day one to sit eighth stroke behind Union.
Wockenfuss and Boutwell each led the squad with rounds of 69. Hughston finished even on the day while Fantozzi carded a 75.
For the B team, the Falcons sit in fourth place following a five-over score in round one.
Cooper Markham and
Hugo Panos each led the squad with rounds of 68.
Five Falcons currently sit in the top ten after the conclusion of round one. Markham and Panos' 68 places the duo in a tie for second at three-under. Boutwell and Wockenfuss will enter round two in a tie for fourth at two-under. Hughston's even-par round places him in a tie for ninth going into round two.
