MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The University of Montevallo volleyball hosts in-state rival, Alabama-Huntsville on Tuesday, Oct. 15 inside Central State Bank Arena. Greek Life will be hosting a pregame cookout in front of the Student Activity Center.

The Falcons are coming a sweep of Christian Brothers and a victory over Union a day before. Montevallo put up their two highest hitting percentages of the season with .284 against the Bulldogs and .244 against the Bucs.
Nikol Antova had back-to-back 13 kills matches.

About Montevallo
Montevallo is currently 5-3 in GSC play and is in a four-way tie for third in the conference standings with Lee, Mississippi College and Trevecca Nazarene. Ahead of them in second, lies the Alabama-Huntsville Chargers at 7-1. The Falcons are winners of their last three matches but they are currently on a two-match losing streak against UAH.
Danielle Greene has been on fire as she has had three consecutive matches with 10 or more attacks with a. 300 hitting percentage or better. For the first time in her career, she has reached the 100-kill mark. In the GSC, Greene has the seventh highest hitting percentage at .271 and she has the fourth most total blocks with 68. The Falcons have two outstanding freshmen that the Chargers will have to deal with,
Ava Wind and
Nikol Antova. Wind has the third most digs in the GSC with 277. She also has the third most aces on the team with 19. Antova continues to terrorize the Gulf South as she has the second most kills at 234 and she has the second most points of any player with 264.5.
The Falcons are 23-28 against UAH all-time but the Chargers took both matches from Montevallo last season. At home, UM is an even 11-11 against Alabama-Huntsville.
Scouting Alabama-Huntsville
The Chargers have the best overall record in the conference at 16-2 while they are in second place at 7-1 in GSC play. Their lone loss came against West Florida on Oct. 5. UAH was, at one point, receiving votes in the AVCA poll and are coming off sweeps of Union and Christian Brothers this past weekend. The Chargers have not lost an away match this season.
Alabama-Huntsville is led by Autumn Mayes who has the fifth most kills in the GSC at 187. Mayes is also one of the most skilled servers in the conference with 25 aces, tied for sixth in the GSC. Caroline Moyer joins Mayes in the top-10 list in the GSC with 157 kills. Mary Grace Bundrant is two blocks away from the block led in the GSC as she has 82. She trails Reese Payne (Trevecca Nazarene) who has 83.
As a team, Alabama-Huntsville holds teams to a .135 hit percentage, the lowest mark in the GSC. The Chargers are top-three in the conference in hitting percentage, assists, kills, blocks and digs.
