MONTEVALLO, Ala. – Montevallo men's golf senior Eric Boutwell closed the fall schedule as the No. 4 golfer in the national statistical rankings from Clippd.
 
The South Region's No. 1 golfer played in eight total rounds with an adjusted scoring average of 69.1. In four tournaments, the Russellville, Ala. native tallied one individual victory to go along with a pair of top three finishes while finishing sixth or better in every fall event. Boutwell finished ahead of 116 Div. II golfer while finishing behind just five Div. II athletes.
 
 In the Full Moon Invitational, Montevallo's host tournament, Boutwell set a school record with an -11 (60) after the opening round before securing the victory with a three-under (68) round two. The senior's score of -14 for the tournament is also a Montevallo record for a single event. Boutwell moved on to take sixth place at the Dunning Invitational in Cleveland, Miss. with a three-round score of one-under. The senior shot two-under on the first day of the event with an even-par round one and a two-under 69 in round two. Boutwell then shot one of just three over-par rounds in the final round with a score of 73 (+1). In a field littered with Div. I talent, Boutwell finished T-3^rd at the Turtle Point Invite hosted by North Alabama. Boutwell shot four-under on the first day of the event with an opening round 72 before shooting 68 (-4) in the second round. To close the event, the senior shot 69 (-3) to move into a four-way tie for third. At the Citrus Intercollegiate, the senior finished T-6^th with a three-round score of 219 (+3) for his highest scoring tournament in the first half of the season. In the opening round, Boutwell score a one-under 71 before shooting his highest round of the fall with a second-round 75. He closed his fall schedule with third-round 73 (+1).
 
Boutwell will return to the course after the winter break in February of 2025.
