MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The Montevallo women's basketball team opens conference action this week, hosting No. 15 Lee (Dec. 5) and GSC newcomer-Trevecca Nazarene (Dec. 7) at Central State Bank Arena.

So Far This Season…
Montevallo holds an overall record of 2-3 this season. The Falcons opened the season in Montgomery, Ala., falling to No. 16 Nova Southeastern and Embry-Riddle in the GSC/SSC Challenge. The Falcons split the next two road contests, defeating Shorter 52-51 and falling to Spring Hill 78-69.
Last time out, the Falcons scored its most points since 2019, in a dominating 94-67 win over UT Southern at home.
Elisa Saffold led the way with 25 points, including five made three-pointers.
Jordan Gillies secured her first double-double of the season and nearly notched a triple-double, recording 16 points, ten rebounds, and eight assists.

Montevallo is shooting 41.9 percent from the floor, including a 28.7 percent clip from long range. Opponents are shooting 44.5 percent from the floor, with a 25.2 percent clip from distance. The Falcons are averaging 31.6 rebounds, 11 assists, and 6.6 steals.
On the season, Gillies leads Montevallo in scoring (11.8 ppg), rebounding (6.0 rpg), assists (16), and blocks (six).

Trevecca Nazarene holds an overall record of 2-4 and a 0-1 mark in GSC play.
The Trojans opened the season falling to Barry and Lynn in the South Region Crossover. Trevecca followed that up with its first win, defeating Kentucky State 71-61. The Trojans split its next two contests, falling to Kentucky Wesleyan 71-58 and defeating Thomas More 53-48. The Trojans opened conference play last week, falling to Alabama Huntsville 81-38.
Trevecca averages 53.2 points per game, compared to opponents 64.5 points per game. The Trojans are shooting 39.1 percent from the field, with a 26.1 percent clip from long range. Trevecca averages 31.5 rebounds, 10.2 assists, and 5.5 steals.
