LAKELAND, Fla. – University of Montevallo baseball's
Connor Crowson has been named the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association South Region Player of the Week, Wednesday.
Crowson earns his first region award after being named the GSC Player of the Week, Tuesday
Crowson batted .421 from the plate through four games this week. He went 8-fo-19, slugged .895 and posted a .450 on-base percentage. The junior third baseman also tallied four extra-base hits, including a double, triple and two homers. He drove in six runs on the week and scored three. He began the week with a 4-for-5 outing that included two RBI in a 12-0 non-conference win over West Alabama. In a three-game series against No. 22 Northwood Crowson drove in six runs and added four additional hits, including his first two homers of the year.
Crowson and the Falcons return to action on Friday, Feb. 23, at 2 p.m. against Christian Brothers.
