CLEVELAND, Miss – On the fourth day of finals at the New South Intercollegiate Swim Conference championships, Falcons continue to set record and NCAA times.
In the fourth event of the afternoon,
Will Mahone set a NCAA B-cut time of 48.03 in the 100-yard back. Mahone shaved off .30 to place in second.
Janek Barczyk set a school record in the 100-yard breast with a time of 53.74. Barczyk was crowned the first conference champion for Montevallo with an almost eight second improvement.
Beth Balent placed in sixth in the 200-yard fly with a time of 2:05.91.
Keara McGee placed behind her with a time of 2:07.75.
Aleksei Kolesnikov swam a time of 1:50.20 in the 200-yard fly to take third-place.
The Falcons will return to the pool for the final day of the NSISC championships with prelims at 10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 24.
