GENEVA, OH – The University of Montevallo men's swimming team sets a school record time in the 400-yard medley relay at the NCAA Division II Nationals on Thursday, Mar. 14.
 
The team of Juan Celis, Janek Barczyk, Will Mahone and Aleksei Kolesnikov placed in 15^th with a school record time of 3:12.82.
 
Will Mahone got the Falcons off with a good start as she swam the 50-yard and 100-yard backstroke in 48.23. Janek Barczyk followed up in the breaststroke with times of 24.43 in the 150-yard and 28.70 in the 200-yard. Aleksei Kolesnikov swam the butterfly portion of the relay in 47.30. Juan Celis finished it off with times of 20.70 in the 350-yard freestyle and 23.46 in the 400-freestyle.
 
The Falcons are back in action Friday, Mar. 15 as Will Mahone will compete in the 100-yard backstroke and Janek Barczyk will swim in the in the 100-yard breaststroke.
