RAYMOND, Miss. – The University of Montevallo softball team falls in the final game against No. 8 Mississippi College on Sunday, Mar. 17.
For the second game in a row, Montevallo was unable to figure out the Choctaws pitchers. Both teams went down quietly in the first inning as
Sydnee Reaves drew a walk but was unable to score. Mississippi College tallied their first hit of the game but
Taylor Lloyd got out of the inning.
The Choctaws cracked the scoreboard in the second inning with a solo homer. MC exploded for five runs in the third with four hits including one homer.
Mya Young came in relief for the Falcons and had one of her best outings this season. Young pitched 3.1 innings, struck out two and only allowed three hits and one walk. This is Young's fifth outing of the season where she didn't allow an earned run.
