MONTEVALLO, Ala. – Montevallo men's tennis moved to 5-5 on the season with a dominant 6-1 win over Spring Hill on Tuesday afternoon.
The Falcons took the doubles point after
Samuel Maia and
Leonidas Lazarides took the top match 6-1. Montevallo secured the point with a 6-2 victory from
Philippe Zehender and
Vittorio Noli in the No. 3 match.
Lazarides tallied Montevallo's first singles point with a 6-4, 7-6 win in the top singles match. Zehender battled in the second singles match and walked away with a 4-6, 7-5, 6-4 win after Noli secured another singles point with a 6-3, 6-4 win in the No. 3 match. Freshman
Ryota Nakajima added 7-5, 7-5 victory while
Samuel Maia capped the team victory with a 6-1, 6-4 win in the final singles match.
Montevallo heads to Rome, Ga. for a meeting with Shorter on Wednesday, March 20 at 1 p.m.
