COLUMBUS, Ga. – Montevallo men's tennis fell to No. 5 Columbus State, 7-0, on Saturday afternoon.
The Falcons dropped the doubles point after
Sam Parsons and Simon Luig fell 6-2 in the No. 1 slot. CSU secured the team point after defeating
Philippe Zehender and
Leonidas Lazarides, 6-2, in the second doubles match.
The singles matched before with a 6-2, 6-2, Lazarides loss before Zehender fell in the No. 2 singles match 7-6, 6-4. The Cougars secured the match victory with a 6-1, 5-7 win in No. 3 singles.
Vittorio Noli,
Ryota Nakajima and
Gabriel Variano each fell in the final three singles matches.
