COLUMBUS, Ga. – Montevallo men's tennis fell to 4-3 on the season with a 4-3 loss to Georgia College on Sunday afternoon.
The Falcons dropped the doubles point despite
Philippe Zehender and
Leonidas Lazarides taking the second match 6-1. In the top slot,
Sam Parsons and Simon Luig fell 6-3 before Samual Maia and
Vittorio Noli dropped the No. 3 match 6-2.
Zehender picked up Montevallo's first team point with a 5-7, 6-3, 6-1 victory in No. 2 singles before Noli added a 6-3, 4-6, 6-3 win in No. 4 singles. Parsons tallied a 6-3, 6-4 win in the No. 6 singles match to round out Montevallo's scoring. Lazarides and Luig batteld in the No. 1 and No. 3 singles but each fell in three-set matches. A loss from
Ryota Nakajima in No. 5 singles dropped Montevallo's match with Georgia College, 4-3.
