HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The University of Montevallo softball team drops both ends of the double-header against the University of Alabama in Huntsville on Saturday, Mar. 23.
GAME ONE
The Falcons were blanked for the fourth time in five games. UAH struck out 11 batters while Montevallo came up with two hits in the game.
In the second inning, the Chargers hit a three-run homer to go up 3-0. They would knock an RBI single up the middle in the bottom of the fourth.
Mya Young had a great outing in relief for the Falcons as she had a season-high of five strikeouts against UAH. Young tossed 4.2 innings, gave up four hits and one earned run and she only walked one.

GAME TWO
Montevallo came out hot against the Chargers in the first with a two-run home run from
Kendall Channell. With two outs,
Bentlee Stiner singled then Channell drove her home with her fifth homer of the season. UAH responded with a four spot in the bottom half as they score four runs on three hits.
In the top of the second,
Lily Stone got on base with a single up the middle. Stone advanced on a sacrifice bunt from
Maddie Taylor.
Ariana Pinder knocked Stone home with a single up the middle. The Chargers stole the momentum back with two runs in the bottom half.
Molly Pendley tied the ballgame up with a three-run shot in the top of the third.
Kendall Channell and
Olivia Bergert would score on Pendley's fourth homer of the season. Alabama-Huntsville took the lead back quickly and added on with four runs in the bottom of the third. The Chargers would put up another four spot to end the game in a run rule.
