MONTEVALLO, Ala. – 13 Falcons Score, Two School Records Broken En Route To Big Victory Over Emmanuel
The Falcons started off hot, posting three goals in the first 2:14 of the game. Gerry York started off the onslaught with a goal off the faceoff just 11 seconds into the game. William Angus and Matthew Boas got into the action before two Emmanuel goals. UM rattled off six more goals including two from Zack Laberge, and one each from Camden Nall, Nick Givens, Nick Gaca, and Boas before the 7:00 minute mark in the quarter. The Falcons slowed down a bit, allowing a goal from the Lions, prior to the final goal of the quarter from Zach Reed. UM finished the quarter up 10-3.
The second quarter started much like the first, with the Falcons scoring five goals before the 8:37 mark. Two of the five in this span was by Boas, and the second goals of the game for Givens, York, and Laberge. The Lions put up two more in the second before Givens added his third goal of the game at the 4:02 mark. Jack Morris scored the final goal of the period for either team, with 2:53 to go. The Falcons finished the second period up 17-5
UM came out of the locker room ready to go, scoring six goals in the quarter. Brett Bilodeau scored his first goal of the game in the sixth minute of the period, followed by Anthony Coviello's first just 31 seconds later. Boas put another one into the back of the net at the 7:43 mark. Bilodeau grabbed his second goal of the game, at the 4:19 mark, followed by a goal nine seconds later from Laberge. Samuel Martin scored his first goal of the game with 3:35 remaining in the quarter, before the Falcons allowed Emmanuel their only goal of the quarter with 1:15 to go. The Falcons led the Lions 23-6 at the end of the period.
The fourth period was dormant compared to the other three for the Falcons. Both teams combined for only four goals. Billodeau scored his third of the day with 12:20 in the game and Clifton Tullar scored the 25th goal of the day for the Falcons with 8:15 to play. Emmanuel scored two more goals, including one in the final minute of play. 0:00 hit the clock and the Falcons finished with a win 25-8.

1st | The Falcons' faceoff crew won every faceoff in the first quarter. The offense started out hot scoring 10 goals in the quarter, while the defense allowed only three goals.
2nd | UM kept their foot on the gas, scoring seven more goals in the second. The Falcons totaled 17 shots in the second quarter.
3rd | The Falcons 20 ground balls in the third quarter lead to six goals on 13 shots. UM won in the faceoff department again in this quarter going 7-8.
4th | The defense for UM held strong in the fourth quarter, collecting 18 ground balls and allowing only two goals. The Falcons were 5-0 on faceoffs and had 10 shots.
