MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Montevallo women's tennis dropped one of the final matches of the season on the road at Auburn Montgomery, 7-0.
Freshman duo
Claire Jaramba and
Greta Vagnini lost the No. 2 doubles match in a tiebreaker point, 7-6, after the Falcons dropped the other two matches by a score of 6-1.
Lieselotte Hartlohner battled in the second singles match but would eventually fall 2-6, 7-6, 4-10 after Jaramba forced a third set in a 6-2, 0-6, 1-6 loss in the top singles match. Vagnini and
Johanna Kullman each dropped their singles matches 3-6, 4-6. With losses in the No. 3 and No. 4 matches, Montevallo fell to AUM in the penultimate match of the regular season.
Montevallo will host West Alabama on April 16 at 2 p.m. for the final match of the 2024 regular season.
